Hormone therapy is not the right treatment for every patient.

Postpartum appointments can address concerns including recovery after delivery, bleeding, contraception, mood, breastfeeding concerns, pelvic floor symptoms, sexual health and other postpartum concerns.
Yes.
There are many possible causes of abnormal uterine bleeding. Your clinician may recommend bloodwork, pregnancy testing, imaging, cervical screening or other investigations depending on your age, symptoms and medical history.
Some patients may require an endometrial biopsy or referral to a gynecologist.
Yes.
We can perform an initial assessment of persistent pelvic pain, painful periods, pain during intercourse and symptoms concerning for endometriosis.
Depending on your symptoms, further investigations, treatment or referral to gynecology may be recommended.
Yes.
Please book an appointment if you notice a new breast lump, persistent focal pain, nipple changes, nipple discharge, skin changes or another new breast concern.
Your clinician will determine whether examination, imaging or specialist referral is appropriate.
Please contact the clinic to determine whether you are currently due for cervical screening.
Cervical screening recommendations have changed over time, and the appropriate screening test and interval depend on factors such as your age, previous results and medical history.
Sometimes cervical screening can still be performed during light menstrual bleeding. Heavier bleeding can interfere with sample collection or interpretation.
If you have significant bleeding on the day of your appointment, please contact the clinic for advice before cancelling your appointment.
Your clinician will explain why an examination is recommended and what it involves before proceeding.
Depending on your concern, the examination may include an external examination and/or a speculum examination. Not every women's health appointment requires a pelvic examination.
You may ask questions or ask the clinician to stop the examination at any time.
Yes.
You may request a chaperone for an intimate examination. A trained chaperone is present in accordance with clinic policy.
Your comfort, privacy and dignity are important to us.
Yes.
STI testing can be arranged based on your history, symptoms and potential exposures. Testing may involve urine, swabs and/or bloodwork.
If you are concerned about a recent exposure, please tell your clinician when it occurred because the timing of testing can matter.
Not everyone requires investigations.
Your clinician will recommend bloodwork, imaging or other testing when appropriate based on your symptoms, history and examination.
Please contact Grace Medical to request a Women's Health appointment.
When contacting us, briefly tell our administrative team the reason for your appointment so that we can book the appropriate appointment type and length.
For privacy and patient safety, detailed medical concerns should be discussed with your healthcare provider rather than sent by regular email.
This depends on the service.
Existing Grace Medical patients may be able to book certain appointments directly. Patients who have another family physician or nurse practitioner may require a referral for some services. Our administrative team can help determine what is required when you contact the clinic.
